About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Prairielytics, an application for recording farm input costs, sales and profitability. By creating an account or using the application you agree to these terms.

This wording is a draft prepared for review. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before launch.

Your account

You need an account to use the application. When you create one you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it current.
• Keep your login credentials private and not share your account with anyone else.
• Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Subscriptions and billing

Access to the application requires a paid annual subscription. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, using the payment details you supply. Subscription fees renew annually until you cancel.

You can manage or cancel your subscription from the Account page at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Your farm records

The fields, crops, costs, sales and contracts you enter belong to you. We store and process them only to operate the application for you.

Figures such as break-even prices, yields and profit are calculated from the numbers you provide. They are estimates for planning purposes only, not accounting, tax, agronomic or financial advice, and you remain responsible for decisions you make based on them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the application for anything unlawful or to store data you have no right to hold.
• Copy, resell, scrape or attempt to extract the application or other users' data.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the application.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the application available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the product develops.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses arising from decisions made using figures calculated by the application. Our total liability for any claim relating to the application is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your access

You may stop using the application at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or if required by law. On ending your account your records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the application. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
